Young Legend blends high-energy dancehall, Afrobeats, and reggae with empowering lyrics centered on resilience, love, and unity. The album reflects E-Dee’s deep Jamaican roots while carrying a distinct Hollywood edge shaped by his dual career as a recording artist and working actor. The project stands as both a personal milestone and a cultural statement, capturing the journey of an artist who left Clarendon, Jamaica, and built a lasting presence in Los Angeles without ever abandoning his foundation.

Artist Statement
“Young Legend is more than an album — it’s a celebration of growth, legacy, and bridging Jamaica to the world stage,” said E-Dee. “We created something that hits the dancehall hard while speaking to the heart. This one is for the fans, the culture, and the next generation.”
Sync Placements & Film Career
E-Dee’s music has earned sync placements in more than 100 films and television shows, including I Think I Love My Wife, How She Move, Greek, Housewives, Love & Hip Hop, and Blue Bloods. His acting career further strengthens the cinematic quality of the new project. He starred in Out the Gate (2011), a biopic loosely based on his own journey, and has appeared alongside major names in Gangland: The Musical (featuring Tamar Braxton), Chocolate City 3: Live (featuring Lisa Raye), Mother-in-Law (alongside Vivica A. Fox), and Temperature Rising (with Omar Gooding). New film projects are currently in development as he continues to merge his music and film worlds.
About E-Dee
Born in Toll Gate, Clarendon, Jamaica, as the youngest of eight children, E-Dee grew up immersed in the rhythms and culture that would later define his sound. In 2007 he made the bold move to Los Angeles to study acting at the Hollywood and Theatre of Arts while simultaneously building his music career from the ground up. Today he is a dual U.S.-Jamaican citizen, Billboard-recording artist, and founder and CEO of Clarendon Records.
Over the years he has collaborated with dancehall and reggae legends including Wayne Wonder, Glen Washington, Future Fambo, I-Octane, and Seun Kuti. Known widely as the Dancehall Celebrity, E-Dee has carved a unique path that keeps one foot firmly in Jamaican culture and the other in Hollywood. Beyond music and film, he remains committed to giving back to his roots in Clarendon and elevating the next generation of artists from the island.
